Brass Band comes to Currie Kirk

Come along to Currie Kirk on Sunday, 23rd August, the venue for the Newmilns and Galston Brass Band’s performance as part of the Edinburgh International Festival’s “Fanfare” event.
This free outdoor community event features twelve Scottish brass bands performing different repertoires at 12pm, 3pm and 5pm at twelve different locations along the Water of Leith Walkway. Each band will play the same repertoire at the same time at each location, performing a range of music for all ages and tastes – from Mahler, Elgar and Burns to Kraftwerk, Joy Division and Let it Go from the Disney movie “Frozen”.
Currie Kirk will provide refreshments on the day, following each of the 30 minute performances by the Newmilns and Galston Brass Band.
