P2/3 took our harvest Assembly on Friday morning and did a fantastic job. They told us all about the topic, Welly to Belly, trips they have been on finding out all about bees and chickens, their tour of Tesco their bramble picking and jam and bread making and lots more. We enjoyed singing along to the songs they had written and watching their play of the Little Red (Yellow) Hen! At the end of assembly P2/3 gave each class a loaf of home-made bread and a pot of the bramble jam they had made as harvest is all about sharing.
It was lovely to have parents of the children in P2/3 come along and join us for this assembly and then visit P2/3’s classroom to have a look at all their work and enjoy a slice of bread and jam.
Thank you to everyone who sent in donations for our harvest table, which was once again laden with lots of delicious goodies. We will deliver parcels of food from our table to the people who have been nominated to receive one this week and the rest will be sent to the local Foodbank, a great cause for us to support.
