PUPILS FROM Currie Primary School BECOME CHAMPIONS OF CHANGE
The Charities Pupil Council group at Currie Primary are taking on the role of being ‘Champions of Change’ to organise fundraising for Children in Need, and to help disadvantaged children and young people in Scotland. They are very excited about the new Champions of Change initiative because the pupils are in charge of fundraising for the much-loved charity, while learning and developing new skills to enhance their own futures.
As part of Currie’s fundraising plans, pupils will hold a bake sale on Friday 13th November during morning break times and organise an assembly.
Ms Hourston said “We’re really looking forward to getting behind BBC Children in Need this year. The children are really excited about being ‘Champions of Change’ and the opportunity to ‘own’ the fundraising activities and they have lots of exciting plans.”
“It’s really useful to build on their understanding of BBC Children in Need, so they understand how every pound they raise will impact those less fortunate than themselves.”
So remember, please send in donations for our bake sale and bring some money to spend during break at the bake sale on Friday 13th November!
