Millions of people around the world live with type 1 diabetes (T1D), a life-threatening autoimmune disease that strikes both children and adults. There is no way to prevent it, and at present, no cure. The Junior Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) works every day to change this by amassing grassroots support, deep scientific knowledge and strong industry and academic partnerships to fund research. JDRF is the leading global organization funding T1D research. We would like to support this work by taking part in the ‘Type Onesie Day’ on Friday 13 November 2015 by paying £1 and wearing our onesie’s or pajamas to nursery and school. We will send all money raised to JDRF to help with their research. At assembly on this day we will find out a little about diabetes with our Charities Pupil Council and two very special guest speakers!
