Scots Assembly

We enjoyed another amazing Scots Assembly in school on Friday when the winners of our Scots Verse Competition performed their poems to us all. Everyone did a fantastic job and it was great to see the progression from Nursery to P7 as the poems got longer and more complicated. Well done to Morgan who wrote her own poem about Scotland to start off our assembly, which was followed by the winners form each class – huge congratulations to Murray, Macy, Zac, Josh, Aimee, Connor, Lawrence, Jack R., Caitlyn, Jess, Cameron, Amy, Rowan, William, Muhammad Ali, Adam, Cameron and Andy for their fantastic performances. The children had all worked very hard to learn their poems and add in actions and lots of expression! They were all very confident when performing too! We were also treated to some fabulous Highland Dancing from Toby and Harry and Kelsey and Caragh. Our choir and P7 Music Ensemble Group also performed. Everyone looked amazing in their tartan or Scotland outfits and hats! It was really nice to be able to share this assembly with some of our parents and families of the children performing – we hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did
