School was very bright and colourful today as so many of our pupils wore their Easter Bonnets to school. The bonnets were all absolutely amazing and we had lots of people commenting to us throughout the day about how lovely it was seeing the children walking to school in their bonnets this morning! Everyone wore their Easter / Spring Bonnets to our Easter Assembly this afternoon. It was lovely to welcome Mrs Smart, the minister from Currie Kirk to school to join us for our assembly. Some of our recorder club played Hot Cross Buns on their recorders as we all entered the hall and the P7s from our Community Council told us the Easter Story. We also looked at how we celebrate Easter here in Scotland and compared this to how Easter is celebrated in Poland – a huge thank you to Julia in P4B who helped with this.
Congratulations to the winners of the Easter Bonnet Competition from each class – Daniel, Finlay, Charlotte, Matthew, Sophie-Marie, Lawrence, Joshua, Charla, Isla G., Isla W., Finlay, Jack, Katie and Nic, and to Mrs Laird and Mrs McGlynn for winning the staff competition!
