Thank you to everyone who took time to complete the on-line questionnaire the Children and Families department carried out on all schools in Edinburgh earlier this year. We had 116 families taking part, one of the highest uptakes across the city, which is fantastic. We have attached the results of this survey to our website in the ‘About our School’ drop down tab above then in the Documents and Reports section. This shows the percentage of families who agreed or disagreed with the statements and also a summary of common themes our families commented on. We take your comments very seriously and they are a vital part of our on-going self-evaluation. We will act on them if we can. A copy of the full report is available from the office on request.
Next session we are keen to get involved with the Scottish Parent Teachers Council and look at ways of improving parental involvement in the life of our school. In order to do this we need a group of parents who can commit to short life working groups to move parental engagement / involvement forward. This could be through looking at communication, decision making, parenting, homework /learning at home, collaborating with the community, volunteering etc. A letter will come home shortly with a tear off slip to be completed and returned to school if you are interested in being part of this short life working group from August 2016. We really hope you are interested in and able to join this group and working with us to improve parental involvement at Currie Primary School.
