Primary 6 and Games @ The Hub Tuesday 24th May 2016

When we first arrived we were really excited. We got the chance to do some circus skills like playing with diablos, and hoops. There was a very tall clown walking around on stilts too. We had boys and girls from primary 6 doing rugby and football.  The girls and boys who played football did some drills and practised before doing the tournaments. We did lots of different skills such as kicking, shooting and passing. We all played really well and in the first match the girls won 2-0, drew nil-nil in the second match; won the third match 8-0 and the fourth match 1-0. We lost one game and came 5th overall out of 12 schools. Although we didn’t win, we did our best! Playing with the other teams was good fun and we were good at defending. The girl’s football team included Morven M, Maddie, Olivia, Elise, and Eva. The boy’s football team included: Lewis, Cameron, Jay, Connor, and Rudi. The boys came 3rd overall, beating 9 other schools. We came second in our pool and tried really hard. We won 3-0 in the first game, 4-0 in the second game, lost the next game 0-1 and then won 3-1. In our final game we won 2-0.

We are really proud of our Rugby team. We worked hard, lost one game but came first in our heat, 2nd in our pool and overall came 3rd. It was okay that we lost one game. The rugby team included: Donald, Rosie, Theo, Sam, Jade, Scott, Adam, Andrew R and Andrew S made up the rugby team. When our rugby team was playing against Nether Currie in the group stages, we lost 3-1. However, when we made it to the final of our competition, we beat them 2-0. It was good fun and a great day out!

At the end of the day we all met in the field for the closing ceremony and presentations. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the experience of it all. We also enjoyed representing the school.
