Transition from Nursery to Primary 1
We would like to take this opportunity to warmly welcome all our new Primary 1 children and their families into Currie Primary School.
Induction Meeting for Parents
This meeting will take place on Monday 26th May 2025 from 5:00pm-6:00pm in the main school hall. During this meeting we will issue you with information about the early days of Primary 1. We will also provide an opportunity for you to ask any questions that you may have. You will receive a pack at this meeting and will find out which class your child will be in, and who the teacher will be. The meeting is not compulsory, but it is a good opportunity for parents/carers to meet each other, school staff and to have any questions answered.
Transition Dates
During the dates/times outlined below, pupils are invited to come to school for visits to meet their teacher and to spend time in the classroom with their peers. Please bring your child to the Primary 1 annexe building for 9:15am and collect them from the annexe at 10.15am. If your child already attends our Nursery on these dates our Nursery staff will take them up during the normal Nursery session.
The dates/times are as follows:
- Tuesday 3rd June 2025 from 9:15am-10:15am
- Tuesday 10th June 2025 from 9:15am-10:15am
- Tuesday 17th June 2025 from 9:15am-10:15am
School Uniform
Our school colours are navy and purple and we really encourage everyone to wear these colours to school. Branded school uniform orders are made online at http://currie.imagescotland.com and the order will be delivered directly to you. School ties in navy/purple are available to buy directly from Image Scotland.
Our school uniform consists of a white shirt or Currie polo shirt (navy, purple or white), tie, grey, black or navy trousers/shorts/skirt or pinafore, navy sweatshirt/cardigan.
Start Dates and Times for First Week
1st day of P1 : Wednesday 13 August @ 9 am to 2.45 pm
2nd day of P1: Thursday 14 August @ 9 am to 2.45 pm
From Friday 15 August all children to attend from 8.45 am
