Thank you to everyone on the PTA for organising another fantastic May Fayre for us all this year and to everyone who came along to support this major fund raising event for our school on Saturday. The weather did not stop the fun and everyone seemed to be having a good time! There were lots of new and fun activities for everyone to try this year including A Laser Arena, Segway’s and Silent Disco and Scavenger Hunt as well as some of the old favourites – tombola, lucky dip, face painting, books and toys, home baking, raffle, coconut shy and so on. It was lovely to see ourP4/5 choir perform on the stage too. The money is still to be counted and we will let you know as soon as we can how much money was raised on the day.

We enjoyed Sports Day last week, despite the rather chilly and grey weather! It was great to see everyone taking part and giving each race and activity their best shot. As always it was lovely to have so many parents, carers and wider family members come along to cheer everyone on. Sports Day was a closely fought competition this year with only 12 points separating the first and third placed house – congratulations to the Pine Martin House who won our Sports day Shield this session.
Thankfully it wasn’t too cold for a picnic lunch afterwards followed by an ice-pole provided by our PTA! A big thank you to Mrs Moyes, Mrs Holt and Miss Mckay for organising Sports Day for us this year and to Currie Community High School for allowing us to use their sports grounds
We all enjoyed our first ‘Fitness Friday’ HIT work out in school this morning and we hope you all did too! Thank you to Mr Mackenzie, Mrs Pope, Miss Mckay and Mr McArthur for organising and leading this event. Joe Wicks was very impressed when Mrs Holt sent him a copy of the video she took! See you all at 8.30 am next Friday morning for our next session!
Thank you to everyone who wore odd or brightly coloured socks to school today in support of Down’S Syndrome Scotland’s Lots of Sock Day!
