Winning Christmas Card Design

Congratulations to Ethan in P5 who was a runner up in a competition to design a Christmas Card for our local MSP for Edinburgh Pentlands, Gordon Macdonald. Ethan took a trip to Tesco this morning to be presented with his prize, a £25 gift voucher and a selection box. Ethan’s design is just beautiful as I am sure you will agree.
Christmas Eve Acrostic Poem
Christmas Eve, children safe in their beds
Hoping for presents everyone said
Ringing of bells in the town square
Immediately filled with carollers everywhere
Santa’s here, as quiet as a mouse
To deliver presents to every single house
Much people are loved, much people are cared
As everyone shares and shares and shares
Seasons greetings to all

A Bundle of Joy

Well done to all of our P2s who performed their nativity, ‘A Bundle of Joy’ this week. We hope you all enjoyed the show as much as we did.
Robin Hood and the Sheriff of Rottingham

We enjoyed a visit from Mac-A-Story this morning for our Christmas Panto performances. It was a really interactive Panto with lots of pupil and staff involvement. Special well done to Mr Mackenzie and Mrs Holt for playing the part of Maid Marion in the different performances. A big thank you from everyone in school to the PTA for paying for these performances for us.
Christmas Lunch

A huge thank you to our wonderful Lunch Room Team for making us a delicious Christmas Lunch yesterday! As always our Dinner Ladies went above and beyond to make this a special meal for use all.
Inter-House Board Games Championship

We had a very exciting morning in school last week for our Inter-House Board Games Championship a brilliant idea from Tariq, Kughan and Maven in P7. The boys helped our House Captains organise and run the competition over the last few weeks with the finals on Thursday morning. P1-P3 played Snakes and Ladders and P4-P7 played Chess. The Pine Martins won the snakes and ladders event and the Golden Eagles won the chess side. By the time all the points were added together the Golden Eagles were overall champions of our board games competition. Congratulations Golden Eagles!
Pantosaurus Award

Congratulations to our Nursery, and to Mrs Hutton in particular who has been leading the work NSPCC work on Pantosaurus with our youngest pupils showing them how to keep themselves safe. Pantosaurus is a pant-wearing Dino who wants every child to stay safe and strong! Mrs Hutton had a lovely morning at The City Chambers last week picking up our Nursery’s Award for the “best pants display board’. Well done to everyone involved, we are really proud to receive this award and will display it prominently in our Nursery.
