Eat Them to Defeat Them

We are enjoying the ‘Eat Them to Defeat Them’ campaign in our lunch hall right now! The campaign encourages our children to try different fruits and vegetables. The ladies in our dinner hall have been working with a group of pupils to prepare for this event over the last few months and it will go one for weeks.

We are so lucky to have staff that always go to so much trouble and effort to make lots of delicious new recipes and goodies to try. The stall is proving very popular and it is great to see lots of children trying new things!

Saroj Lal Award

It was a very exciting evening on Thursday as we were invited to take 6 P7s to the Saroj Lal Awards at The City Chambers. Our P7 classes have been involved with the work of this award for the last couple of years and it was wonderful to see the amazing work of our pupils on aspects of challenging inequality, perceptions, stigma and celebrating diversity on display at such a prestigious event. We were thrilled to win the Award of ‘Proud to be Me’ for the beautiful quilt P7 made. You will see the trophy we won displayed in the entrance next time you are in school. A huge congratulations to all of our P7s and their teachers, Mrs Turnbull, Mrs Jack and Mrs McGlynn.

World Book Day 2025

World Book Day is always a fun day at school with amazing costumes and activities related to reading and books. This year everyone made a book crown. Lots of people dressed up as a word, a character from a book or story and Mrs Morrison came as a book worm eating her way through the novel her class are currently enjoying! Here are just a few of the photos from the day! Thank you to Finlay R. in P7 for helping with the photographs this year!

P3A Ceilidh

Last week we invited our grown ups to come to our ceilidh. First we skipped around the hall. We performed the Canadian Barn Dance, Strip the Willow and The Military Two Step. Then we got our grown ups to dance with us too. Afterwards we had shortbread and the grown ups had a cup of tea or a coffee.
