This morning we went to Meggetland for the second round trials for the Edinburgh District Primary Schools football team. When we got there we went to the changing room and changed our boots and then we went out onto the grass pitch and got put into teams with different coloured bibs. The coaches wanted to know our name, school and position. We did a warm of different drills, such as 1 on 1, possession boxes, 4 v 4 small game and then we went into playing games. We got to play 3 games of 15-20 minutes. We played against each other and Jojo’s team won 2-0! Mack’s team lost just 1 game and Jojo’s team won 1 and drew 2 games. After that we got told we would find out on Thursday or Friday if we had made the team. There were 46 P7 pupils taking part in the trails from all across schools in Edinburgh. 20 of us will be picked for the team. We really enjoyed ourselves.
