Our P6A campers were in great form last night when we went over to see them and cook their dinner! They had spent the day caving, climbing and building a campfire! After an enormous meal they set out again for a night walk and then were planning stories and toasted marshmallows round the campfire before bed. I am sure they will have lots of stories to share when they get back this afternoon!

Everyone from Nursery to P7 was involved in our STEM challenge last week where, working alone or in a group, the children had to design and build a boat from a small section of materials. The challenge was to see who could build the boat that could hold the most 1p coins before it sank. Some of the designs were amazing and the winning boats held around 170 1p coins!

We are needing old newspapers for a P7Growth Mindset cluster event that we are hosting here at Currie Primary later this month – if you have any old newspapers at home that you have finished reading please send them into school!

The Transport group of the ECO Committee will be carrying out traffic surveys on Curriehill Road on Tuesday 9 May and Thursday 11 May. We are carrying out the survey to see where people are parking when dropping their children off at school. We look forward to sharing the results with you.

‘pardon’

which means, ‘excuse me’ or ‘sorry’.   Once more it would be great if you could encourage the children to use this expression plus our previous expressions of the week at home as well as in school – merci beaucoup!
